This is a very rare 2006 Shelby GT-H Hertz “Rent a Racer”! This car is serial #10 of 500 ever made. It is also half of a matched set, the other one being a 2007 Shelby GT-H Convertible, serial #10 of 500 as well. They are a rare matched set, one hardtop and one convertible, and can be purchased as a matched set. It has been said that serial #’s 1-9 went to Carroll Shelby, Ford Executives and Hertz Executives, and serial #10 was the first one sold to the public. We are told that there are only four known matched sets of 2006 and 2007. The other three were high mileage rentals. This car was never rented, it belonged to a franchisee in Dothan, Alabama. It is believed that there are less than 20 out of 500 that have less than 10,000 miles, this one has only 7,900 miles. It has never been wrecked or had any paint damage. The owner sent the sun visor to Carroll Shelby to get it hand signed and numbered by him. Then the accessories were added; a dress up kit under the hood, center caps, floor mats and trunk mat. This car comes with all of the documentation that is available, including the package from Carroll Shelby that you receive only after you purchase the car (most cars that are sold do not have these documents). It also has the overlay to go on the dash that has not yet been installed, as well as the 40th Anniversary plate for the rear deck.
